A Wrap Up Of This Summer
I hate to see summer come to an end. I hate it even more when it is not officially over until the third week in September.
Here are the highlights:
It was such an honor and privilege to be the Artist in Residence in the early summer edition of “Cape May Magazine.” My painting, “Gathering at the Lake was featured on page 13. Read the article here by clicking on the third picture above.
In July my painting, Fueling Before Flight, was selected to be included in the Seagrove Art Cooperative’s “Art Here and Now” Juried Fine Art Show at the Cape May Point Arts and Science Center in Cape May, New Jersey. My painting, along with approximately 40 others, was sold during the evening opening reception.
I try to keep myself open to new things. In August, I took a flower arrangement class through my farm CSA at Pennypack Farm and Education Center. Through my farm share, I not only get organically-grown, fresh vegetables. I pick a fresh new palette of colorful flowers to design an arrangement each week. What a joy!
I am grateful for the new “art” friends I met this summer and the ones I continue to see through out the year.
